My morning oatmeal,
simply cooked with milk and cinnamon,
becomes a treat for the eyes and a delight for the palate
when topped with blueberries and chopped apricot,
an interplay of blue and gold,
sweet and tart and creamy goodness.
A simple breakfast made memorable.
Looks tasty! I have really started liking muesli for breakfast….it is just too hot for hot oatmeal here in Louisiana

Thank you, Mr. Fed Up. If you like oatmeal but can’t face it hot, I’ve been seeing some posts around and about lately where you soak the oatmeal overnight in the fridge in milk or milk and yogourt, then add your fixings in the morning. Intriguing!
Yep, sound just like muesli
I love these colors together, a memorable breakfast indeed!
Thank you! Pretty striking for a bowl of oatmeal, I think. And the combination of fruit tasted so good with the oatmeal — I almost forgot how good it was for me!
Well.. after reading your blog I had to have oatmeal.. for supper! And it was wonderful!!!
Just the kind of easy-cooking meal to enjoy after a long day at work! 😃
