I am a fruitaholic, and have been my entire life. Obviously, I love apples, but my fruit wish list also includes citrus, stone fruits, berries, bananas, pineapples, pears and on and on. The fresher the better. So, no surprise that one of life’s simple pleasures for me is a bowlful of fresh fruit on the kitchen counter. Not only does it provide for handy snacking, but what more lovely decor could there be for the kitchen? Bonus points for bathing the fruit in sunshine streaming through the window.
Stone fruits are my absolute favorite.
They sound kinda petrified, don’t they? Ha!
Great shot, that fruit looks so fresh! I see that you’ve pretty much the same view out of your window that I have out of my kitchen windows. I’m just glad, in my case, it’s a wall that I’m looking at and not another window. That can never be a good thing. 🙂
The view from my new kitchen windows is certainly less pastoral than at my other house! Instead of overlooking the herb garden with its pretty landscaping, I now look at my neighbour’s house a scant stone’s throw away. In fact, I can see into a couple of their windows (and, presumably, they into mine – yikes!). I like to think they’re wondering what I’m dishing up next in here. Maybe they’re thinking I’m a drudge, always in the kitchen. Little do they know (yet) what magic I’m making.
