You’ve seen a couple different iterations of my Manly Chocolate Cupcakes, here and here, but today this family favourite is showing its feminine side. With the addition of white chocolate chips to the batter, an adornment of white chocolate ganache and embellishment of silver dragées and sparkling sugar, these Sparkling Chocolate Cupcakes are now ready to celebrate, girlfriend style.
At about the time this post is being published, a party will be underway at our home to celebrate my daughter Jenn’s birthday. This is one of those special birthdays, and I wanted these cupcakes to reflect all the joy and brightness that she has brought to my life.
Happy birthday, Jennifer — I love you!
Most impressive – they look like christmas decorations!
They do look Christmasy, don’t they, now that you mention it. Don’t think I’ll try to hang one from the tree though :).
Oh, how I love a sparkly cupcake! Gorgeous!!
That’s high praise from the Queen of Pretty Cupcakes! Thanks Movita!!! (3 exclamation points for extra sparkle)
Gorgeous.
Nothing like some sparkles to pretty up a cupcake!
Belated birthday greetings to your Jennifer, Mar! I’m sure she appreciated these cupcakes. They really do look beautiful.
The big day is actually tomorrow, so you’re ahead of the game with your birthday wishes, John! She did really like these cupcakes, and how pretty they were, but she luuuved the Maple Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes that I made. Not sure when they’ll appear on the blog — I was doing a photo shoot today with the last one and the pedestal tipped over. Oops. Guess I’ll have to bake another batch!
I love these!! You’ve “bedazzled” your cupcakes.. perfect for a girl’s birthday party:) xx
“Bedazzled”! Love that description for these cupcakes! Have to laugh … the Culinary Enthusiast took the leftovers to his workplace and one of the guys asked if it was alright to eat the ball bearings on top. Ha ha!
